Portsmouth HS Girls

Portsmouth high school for girls made history today as twenty five students aged 12 – 18 all passed their Preliminary level in the Boxing Awards Programme.  All the students will now move forward to complete the Standard Awards in the new year.  PHS PE teacher Lorraine Divilly explained the GB Boxing Awards have proved very popular with the students in the school.  The girls have not only learnt new skills but have also grown in confidence and self esteem.  PHS would like to thank Network Rail for sponsoring the GB Boxing Awards at Portsmouth High School for Girls.  Network Rail Safety Manager, Lindsay Banks commented the take up of non-contact boxing at PHS Girls has been phenomenal.  Many of the young ladies who attend PHS travel on the train to and from the school.  Network Rail are proud to be sponsoring the GB Boxing Awards Programme at Portsmouth High School for Girls.
